Replacing Your Car’s Keyless Remote 8 years ago

Your car is your baby. You don’t want anything to happen to it. And besides it takes you everywhere and anywhere you want to go. And it has been doing so since day one. As much as you take care of your car, the opposite you mostly do with your car keys. Admit it. Its true. It’s the most common thing, forgetting your keys. Every morning you have to yell at yourself or someone to locate the keys or the keyless entry remotes that come with cars these days.

Its not a crime if you do this. And of course its better if you are super organized. But the problem is not here. The problem is with the keys and the remotes themselves. These tiny beings that are super sensitive literally keep getting lost or jump out of our pockets and bags on a daily basis. And then there is the battery issue. These remote car door opener run out of battery after a certain time and amount of usage. And then these little beings become useless like an empty toothpaste tube.

Now what to do? The car is still in its best shape but its remote isn’t. switch to keys? No! Not unless you want to of course. You have to now get the keyless remote replacement. For that you have to go the car dealership and a buy a new one. But this is going to cost you a lot. Any new product is expensive. And when it comes to buying only the remote for your car, it certainly is going to cost you.

Or another thing you could do is buy a refurbished or even a used keyless remote. What’s that you ask? Well, a refurbished remote is a remote that has been used before but has been completely altered and has now become totally new. Its mostly done by re-shelling the remote or soldering the remote clips or chips, which then makes it a refurbished remote. However, by changing the battery, changing the configuration as in fixing it or cleaning the remote still makes it a used remote. Then there are the new remotes which of course come directly from the manufacturers.

Where to get these from? While you could by all means buy an expensive one, you could also go for a refurbished or reused model of the product. There are retailers available online that sell such products for a very competitive price. All you have to do is go the website, select the brand of your car, the model number and then the year of its manufacture. You will likely find the list of available products within seconds. Or if you prefer, search for your remote by typing in the FCC ID or part# and get what you are looking for.

Its as easy as the click of a button and now all you have to do is order. There are cars that don’t require any further configuration done with and for the remotes, i.e., once you get your remote all you have to do is connect it by clicking the button and it will configure on its own. But there are cars that require further assistance, and for that you will have to call a locksmith once you get your remote.

Its not that hard. Just know when you have to change your keys and locks. Be safe! Change the remote today!
